Craig Bingham's Passing

It is with heavy hearts

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. For those that haven’t heard Craig Bingham died tragically this week in a motorcycling accident. Craig was well known with our league and played for several years before moving to Arizona. Craig seemed to have played with almost everyone while he was here since he subbed with almost every team. He was well liked by all and had an infectious smile and personality. He will be greatly missed.

Craig was very close to Billy Ryan and put together a memorial tournament for him in 2019. We were working on bringing that tournament back when the pandemic hit and shut down the idea. We’ve since been trying to bring that tournament back and would like to do so again this September following the season. It seems only fitting that we hold this tournament in both Billy & Craig’s name as a memorial. I think a team effort would be more successful at putting this together. If you have any desire to volunteer, donate, sponsor or know sponsors, please reach out to me: 435-764-3528.

In the meantime, the league is putting together memorial helmet stickers and jersey patches for Craig. If you would like one, please reach out to your team manager for a count and I’ll disperse those to managers when we get them in.

I’m excited for this next season. One thing Craig knew really well was to have a good time. He was always having a good time especially playing hockey. I hope everyone has a fun and safe summer.
